I've been working with Duane Watanabe for over 10 years now on various residential real estate projects.

Those who know him know he's a legend in the construction world on Maui. Over the years, we've become close friends and I've gotten to know him and his three children well, as they work with him in the family business.

A couple months ago now he pointed out a large lump on his neck and I said, "You've gotta get that checked out". He did about a week later and it turned out to be cancer. He's presently "in the thick of it" getting radiation and chemo treatments in Texas, and the costs of care, accommodation, and travel expenses are adding up fast. It looks like at least eight weeks for treatments.

I've started this Go Fund Me to spread the word and help cover these expenses. Anything you may be able to contribute would be greatly by Duane and his ohana.
