Aid Dr. Christine Cole's Fight Against ALS and Other Needs
Donation protected
Our mother, Dr. Christine Cole, has been a pillar in the community for years. She has counseled, encouraged, supported, and prayed for and prayed with so many around the country. She’s a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend to so many. In July 2022, she was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease, bulbar ALS to be specific, all while completing her doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership-Christian Ministry.
She had to retire from her job with Anoka County and step back from doing what she loves... helping children and families in need and working in ministry.
Although she was diagnosed with the disease in 2022, her symptoms started in 2020. She spent all of 2021 seeing different specialists, mounting up many medical bills from then until now. Because of the bulbar onset, she is no longer able to speak and has difficulty swallowing and holding up her head. Consequently, she uses a feeding tube that requires specialty food and supplies that have co-pays after insurance coverage.
She currently has difficulty entering a bathtub and requires assistance. She needs a walk-in shower desperately so that she can stand and shower properly. Because she had to retire in 2022, the household income was reduced tremendously. As a result, there are mounting bills that include a car payment, specialty food, feeding tube supplies/equipment and other household expenses that need to be paid.
ALS is a debilitating disease that has impacted her quality of life. Nonetheless, her faith in GOD remains strong and we are grateful for any and all support.
All donations will be used to support the financial needs mentioned.
Thank you for your support!
