Aid Don's Journey to Full Recovery

Donation protected
On Sunday evening October 27th, Don suffered cardiac arrest and was taken to the E.R. in Albert Lea and transferred by helicopter to St Mary’s in Rochester. He was found to have 2 large pulmonary embolisms which was putting stress on him and his heart. He was sedated, intubated, and placed on ECMO (bypass) to let his heart rest. He was stabilized and is currently in the cardiac ICU at St Mary’s. On Monday, October 28th he underwent a procedure to suction out/break up the embolisms. This procedure was successful, and Don is improving each day. Don currently has a Trach and continues to need additional ventilator support, but still shows improvement with each day that passes.

Don continues to show improvement, slowly but surely. He continues to be responsive to treatments and compliant with his PT/OT appointments!

He is not out of the woods yet, but he will continue to fight!

We started the GoFundMe to offset the costs of out-of-pocket medical expenses, hotel stays for family (while in town), and anything else the Hauge's will need assistance with. This is the least we can do for a man, and family, that has really made their lives about other people.
