Dear friends and family of the Spanoghe's,
It is unfortunate that I share the news that Donna Spanoghe suffered a heart attack over the weekend. This was very unexpected and has been hard to comprehend for the family, especially at her young age of 55.
In 2023, Donna was diagnosed with Alzheimer's when she was only 53. Since then, there has been a decline in her health and personal finances. She had to close down her daycare business in May 2024 after her daughter Grace took over for about 6 months. Since then, Grace has been a full-time caregiver to Donna leaving them without two incomes. This past weekend, Donna suffered a heart attack and has been in the ICU since. The future steps for the heart attack recovery are still unexpected as it was major and she will be in the hospital for the time being as she recovers.
When Donna is out of the hospital, the family will try to figure out next steps for her Alzheimer's care. Mark, Joey, Andrew, and Grace want to do everything they can to keep her in a comfortable and familiar environment at home.
Mark is currently employed full-time with an employer who is understanding and compassionate and gives him the flexibility and support that he has needed to be there for Donna. He is extremely thankful for his "MINI" family.
Any donation helps as they navigate the next steps. The money will be going towards the family bills and medical expenses. Please continue to send your thoughts and prayers to Donna, Mark, Joey, Andrew and Grace.
The Spanoghe family would like to add that they are extremely thankful for the support and prayers that they have received.
