Hello all,
On October 7, 2025, Officer Donald Johnson was involved in an automobile accident along I-95 on his way to work. He was rushed to Savannnah Memorial Hospital's TICU. Being a member of the Law Enforcement Community and Marine Corps Family, people were immediately notifed and rushed to provide support.
Donald Johnson, who many lovingly call Don John, has served the United States Marine Corps, retiring as an Infantry Staff Sergeant. He later continued to proudly serve the United States Marine Corps as a Civilian Police Officer for MCAS Beaufort and MCRD Parris Island. Don John lives and bleeds the USMC with a smile on his face daily.
Don John, a proud father of 10 children discusses his family values daily with his co-workers and recently celebrated his oldest son achieving the rank of Sergeant of Marines. His second oldest son is currently a Corporal of Marines stationed in Okinawa Japan.
Don John has an extended church family that has been a tremendous help during these uncertain times. Child care, transportation, groceries, and simply keeping the children's spirits up has been challenging. Conditions, seeming rough at the moment, will continue to be a challenge.
Giving the Christian Family, as well as, the Marine Corps (Active and Civilian) Family Don John has served. It is not unreasonable to come together, as a family, and help with the needs of his wife and children. We are asking you for donations to help cover the continued costs associated with his familial needs. They have lost a vehicle due to the accident, and have many other medical needs for some of their young children. Childcare, transportations, and food costs have become immediately known. Further, Don John, being a Federal Employee has just been furloughed due to the Government shut down and will not receive his first paycheck. Any help you can provide will go a long way. Many who love Don John are organizing efforts to provide as much support as we can.
Thank you in advance, and thank you Don John for your service.
