Hello, My name is Brittany and I’m writing this with hopes to help my big sister Dominique through a very challenging time in her life.

Dominique has faced a number of health issues throughout her life and some of the more extreme concerns consist of her first collapsed lung as an infant. She had her first heart attack at just 17 years old. Dom was also in a coma and she had her second and third collapsed lungs at 20 years old which also caused her another heart attack the same week.

Since coming out of her coma she has worked diligently on her health and wellness the last decade and it pains me to say, minus a short 5 day discharge she has been in the hospital now since October 23rd, 2024 with unexplained cardiac issues and we have no date for discharge as of now.

She has undergone numerous test such as the following;

Dye scans, mri, ultrasound, artery blood extraction, 3 blood panels per day, amongst numerous doctors/specialists input and they have not yet found logic on why her heart rate is stuck between 140 and 210 beats per minute. This includes when she is resting. They have her on heart stabilizer meds and still it rests above 130 bpm non stop.

She is on now on full bed rest and unable to maintain her own care without medical assistance at the moment.

All of that said she is hyper independent and will go straight back to work upon discharge as she has never had financial assistance and will do her best to support herself on her own. I am asking for any help we can get for her even if it’s skipping your snack or morning coffee to ensure upon discharge she can take the necessary time to recover and heal from whatever is happening at the moment.

As aware as I am of my best friend and big sisters thoughts and feelings on asking for help from others, she needs all the support she can get right now! It is challenging for her to not work knowing she doesn’t like to burden others with her personal obligations. I am asking for whatever you are able to help with, it will be a blessing as she holds a special place in the hearts of the people she crosses paths with and none of us want to lose her due to her not getting the rest she so badly needs right now.
