I am trying to raise money for medical bills for Diane Jarbeck. In July 2024, she had a routine mammogram, which led to a callback for more testing. In August 2024, she had further testing, resulting in a mass in her right breast. She had biopsies, which led to the diagnosis of High Grade III Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in the mass. The calcifications found were High Grade III Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS). After further testing, she was diagnosed with ER+ (Estrogen Receptor), PR+ (Progesterone Receptor), and HER2+ (Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2). HER2 is an aggressive type of cancer, which grows rapidly. Doctors recommended chemotherapy and immunotherapy concurrently over a 12-week period. She also had genetic testing and found that she has a pathogenic ATM gene mutation, which increases her risk of breast cancer, contralateral breast cancer, or secondary breast cancer. After all factors were considered, she opted for a bilateral mastectomy, which reduces her risk of any recurrence. On January 7, 2025, she underwent a bilateral mastectomy. She has been off work since before Thanksgiving for treatments leading up to the surgery. She has mounting medical expenses as she still has to go to Rochester for follow-up appointments and further immunotherapy appointments through September 2025.
As we all know, times are tough and any little bit can help! Please consider donating or sharing.
