Hello everyone, I'm Diana. It's my first time on here because I have always been independent and self-sufficient my whole life. I've never been good at asking for help. I'm a disabled single mom, with severe chronic pain and health problems. I live on less than $20,000 a year since I had to stop working because of my health issues.

I'm asking for help because I need to move out of my current apartment due to mold making me sick with a chronic sinus infection, and upper respiratory infection for 8 months now. I've been to the doctor and a specialist several times, taken 5 rounds of antibiotics, and I'm still miserable and sick, bedridden most days. I have done everything I can to terminate my lease because of this, jumping through hoops for 6 months, calling every resource I've been given. Apparently, the owner of my building can get away with denying there's a problem, and lying saying they have fixed the mold problem when they haven't.

I can't afford to buy out of my lease, moving expenses, first month's rent and deposit and my car is ready to break in the front end, making a lot of noise. This is just too much for me to handle right now at this point in my life and so I am asking for help with these things and greatly appreciate you taking the time to read about my story. Anything helps, even sharing this with people. I'm very grateful to all of you for your help, thank you. God bless. P.S. I also had to put all the money I had to reserve a new place, 2 times now total of $1000, lost the one unit and about to lose the other one if I cannot move out of here on 9/1/24. It's was extremely hard for me to find affordable housing and I cannot lose this chance I have.
