Aid Devin and Carina's Family in Crisis

I am Nikki. I am doing this fundraiser to help my son and daughter in law. My son Devin and his wife Carina have 4 children, 10,6,2 &1. Devin has Chiari malformation 1 which is requiring brain and spine surgery. Chiari malformation type 1 (CM1) is a congenital abnormality where the lower part of the cerebellum (the back part of the brain) bulges down through the foramen magnum, the opening at the base of the skull. This can put pressure on the brainstem and spinal cord, potentially obstructing cerebrospinal fluid flow. He is experiencing numbness, fatigue, extreme pain. After surgery, he will be in a halo for weeks and then months of physical therapy.

Carina is having surgery in June for cervical cancer. The doctors aren't sure to what extent the cancer is at and won't until surgery. The kids are going to be unable to work for sometime and need help with monthly bills.

We are trying to sell our house and so much of our things in order to be in a position to help them. Paying their rent, utilities, food etc is going to be a chore. We are trying to take as much stress off the kids as possible so they can recover as well as keep the daily lives of the children as normal as possible.

Life is so short and when your children are sick and in need of help you become desperate. We are desperate. Thank you for your help.

Every dollar donated will go to pay the kids bills and rent. They have health insurance so their medical is taken care of.
