Please help my mom, Detra Rose, with costs related to evacuating from her home during the Eaton Canyon fires.

My name is Tiye Rose, and I was born and raised in Altadena, California, where my mom still lives. I moved into that neighborhood as a small child. My mom taught dance classes to other children and deeply invested her time to supporting the community. While we are incredibly fortunate that her home was spared from the fires, she is still dealing with the aftermath of her neighborhood being destroyed and the area being pretty much uninhabitable due to hazardous toxins in the air and water. For any Altadena resident, returning home to lead and arsenic can lead to serious health problems down the line. My mom is self-employed and works from home as a massage therapist, so she is not able to return to work. Between the cost of staying in rentals, repairing damage sustained from the fires and wind, and removing ash and debris from the property, we would greatly appreciate any assistance you can offer.

My mom understands that many have lost everything and must rebuild completely from scratch and that we must first care for the most impacted by this disaster. We are deeply thankful for anything you can spare. These funds will be used to cover the unexpected costs of staying in hotels and losing income from her job.
