Aid Derrick's Journey to Recovery

Dearest Friends, Family, and Community,

Our kindest and beloved brother Derrick could really use a boost.

On July 14th Derrick was at a family party where he slipped on a wet wooden deck and shattered his kneecap. He was immediately rushed to the hospital and upon review must have intensive surgery to reconfigure and properly heal his severe injury. This healing process is long and painful but we know he’ll push through it.

In the meantime, Derrick is unable to fulfill his duties at The Bridge Cafe , where he pulls his only source of income. He is also more or less immobile, especially after his surgery takes place.

Please , we ask that you help Derrick stay on top of this whole mess by either :

-donating towards his fund to help pay for medical expenses and his time away from work

-dropping off prepared (vegan) meals/snacks

(drop off at 8 Bridge Street, Frenchtown, NJ)

-Paying Derrick a visit or making a phone call to enlighten his day

We know Derrick will do all it takes to get back to it but in the meantime he and our family couldn’t thank you enough for your help and/or support .
