Aid Derek and Valerie After Stroke Emergency

My name is Krystal Mitchell, and I am hoping to raise funds for my brother & sister-in-law, Derek and Valerie Mitchell.

On Saturday, October 26th Valerie started to have stroke-like symptoms. They headed to the ER where after numerous tests they were able to confirm that Valerie did have a stroke, and that she has a dissection in her right carotid artery. She was admitted to the hospital to get on IV blood thinners for a few days. She also has another torn artery, making it not advisable for her to go into surgery to repair her carotid artery. She was able to be released Monday night, and will be taking blood thinners for the foreseeable future in hopes that the artery will be able to repair itself.

Derek and Valerie just welcomed a new baby boy, Hyrum, to their family a few weeks ago on October 4th. They are so happy to be back home with both their boys now. They are expecting a lot of bills from this recent hospital stay and have had to miss time from work as well. If you are able to help donate anything they would be so appreciative!
