Hello everyone,

I am Deniz Erkan Sancak, born and raised in Ankara, Turkiye. I was born in a middle-class family in the capital city of my country. As a nation, we faced many difficulties economically, politically, and socially. My family and I were affected by them profoundly, and this still shows itself in platforms we sometimes can’t even comprehend.

I usually feel unrealistic when I think about my situation as a freelance dance artist in NYC, with a packed schedule working with artists that I aimed to work for in the past; fully living independently, performing in several big venues, and creating with important American artists. It is quite humbling to continue my journey in the city, and I would like to continue growing and building more in the future.

I am in need of renewing my current artist visa, and I need help from whoever can contribute to meet my visa expenses.

In 2025, in the current state of the USA, it is perfectly fair to say that it is becoming more and more challenging for artists like me to remain in the country and continue their career like everyone who can without restrictions like so. Oddly enough, I need to raise money to contribute to the American arts scene as a distinguished foreigner now. I would appreciate it if you can support me in this manner.
