My mom, Denise, is suffering from multiple myeloma stage 4, and she has a tumor on the right side of her head. She recently had internal bleeding and had to go through surgery. The doctors have told us that they've done everything they can for her cancer and have stopped treatment—they're just keeping her comfortable now, saying it's only a matter of months or maybe even days.
I never thought I would be in this position or that my family would be going through something like this. I'm her youngest and practically her only son, and I take care of her every day, making sure she has everything she needs, that she eats, and that she's never alone. I don't work right now because my full focus is on taking care of her during what might be her last moments.
I will be creating a GoFundMe and accepting donations to help with her medical and living expenses, and I'll also be selling some food items to try to raise whatever I can. Any support, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and my mom during this heartbreaking time.
