Aid Denay's Mom's Healing and Family Stability

Hello, my name is Denay and this is my little family! This is all I have! On Friday, August 9, around 7pm, my mom was at work when she suddenly got sick, threw up everywhere, and passed out! She was rushed to the hospital, and was admitted to Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA! On Saturday, we got the scariest news of our lives! The doctor told my mom that they found 4 arteries with blockages of 75-90%! That my mom, my heart and best friend, has to go for unexpected emergency open heart surgery! You all, I have been complacent and numb about doing this! My friends reassured me and told me, it’s okay to ask for help! It’s okay, not to have everything together! This is tough, Denay, this is what loving and knowing people is for! When times get tough for you, and if people can help you, let them help you! This is my first time doing this and I am scared about doing this!

Update to yesterday: they pushed my mom's open surgery to today, Wednesday, August 14, 2024. I made it to the hospital at 5:20! Before they took her in for surgery, so we could pray and talk about Jesus! It’s 6:30am and they just took my mom to prep her for surgery! So I am at the hospital typing this! So we got news from the doctor yesterday that my mom has one blockage that is so bad, her recovery time is going to be longer than the normal person! She is at a higher risk of complications during and after surgery and recovery! So my mom will be down for the next 3 months! My mom just moved to Natchitoches in February for a fresh start with my niece and nephew! They have blossomed since they moved out here! I would hate for my mom to lose everything, she worked so hard to have for herself and the kids! My mom found herself a good, flexible job! The kids have been student of the month more than once! They go to an afterschool program for their school resources! They all want to get Baptized, we are just looking for our home church! The kids have started therapy! I would hate for them to lose all of this because of financial reasons! So if you can help, please let me know! This journey is going to be tough but with the grace of God and gracious donations! We will make it through! I love y’all so much! I appreciate everything! This will cover the bills for the next 3 months and put groceries in the house for the kids and help take care of their school needs as well! If you would like to donate in a different way! I will be able to assist and give you the information! This will also help with maintenance of my mom's car to make back and forth trips to the hospital where she is located at, which is an hour away from our location! update on Friday:

The surgery was great and pretty fast and the recovery going good too! She just in alot of pain in her back! Just that they found a lot more blockage, so they had todo little bit more than they expected! It’s wasn’t too bad though, I’m just happy they caught it before it was too late! Thanks for checking on her everyone! So she has to stop smoking and she will be on strict diet!

update on Saturday 8/17/24

i called the nurse station, and they said my mom was doing good! I called again that afternoon, they said they was transferring my mom from icu to room 250! 30 mins later I called the room! I called her room! I said hey momma, How you feeling, she said not to good because her chest hurt but the doctors told that is what is expected! And she said I will call you back later because I feel bad! I said okay mom I love you and she said it back! 2 hours later the nurse called me and said my mom was doing fine! About another 2 hours I get called from the nurse saying that I need to rush to the hospital because she is coding! I knew from when my momma said she didn’t feel good! I know was something was up! I rush to the hospital just to find out she passed away!

update on Sunday

me and my small family is learning and adapting to our new lives now, without my mom! We are going to be lost little but we will find our way!
