Hi, my name is Delaney, and I’m reaching out because my entire family has just lost everything in the recent catastrophic floods in Calhoun, Kentucky.

I’m currently 9 months pregnant and due any day now. I live with my boyfriend, our three children (all under 10), my disabled mother, and we’re expecting our fourth child any moment. One of our children is autistic and relies heavily on routine, calm spaces, and sensory comfort. This flood has taken all of that from him, and it’s been heartbreaking to watch him struggle without the stability he needs.

We moved to Kentucky last year, hoping to build a better, more peaceful life for our family. We had a home, we had stability, and we were just beginning to feel like things were finally starting to settle.

Then the floods came and took everything.

Our trailer is now half underwater. We’ve lost beds, clothes, baby supplies, school items, furniture, food—everything. Like many others in our community, we didn’t have flood insurance. We never imagined something like this could happen, and now we’ve been forced to evacuate with almost nothing.

We’re doing everything we can to stay strong for the kids, for my mom, and for the baby who is on the way. But we need help to recover and rebuild. We’re asking for support to replace what we lost and give our family of seven a chance to move forward.
