Help Debbie’s family during this difficult transition

Hello, my name is Tiffany. I recently traveled from California to New York after my mother, Deborah White, was admitted to the ICU on October 24. With her care expenses quickly accumulating, this unexpected and challenging situation has made it impossible for me to work. I plan to stay in Syracuse until she has fully recovered, and I am immensely grateful for all the support and prayers during this time.
My mother, Deborah, has been a devoted resident of Springfield Gardens for over 40 years and worked in the community for more than 30. She’s a beloved figure in Springfield Gardens, running the Dewitt Food Pantry, which was dedicated to my late father, Bill White, after his passing in 2013.
Recently, my mother’s health took a serious turn when she contracted pneumonia. My daughter, who has been helping care for her, noticed she was disoriented and confused. She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance, where her oxygen levels were critically low, and she was intubated immediately. After a few days, the doctors attempted to remove the ventilator, but her oxygen levels dropped again, and she had to be re-intubated.
Right now, we’re uncertain how long her recovery in the ICU will take, but her doctors have indicated it will be a lengthy journey. Any contributions to help me remain by her side would mean the world to our family, as would your prayers for her healing. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for any support you can offer.
