Emergency GoFundMe — Urgent Help Needed for Safety, Housing, and Health Stabilization 

 Hello everyone, 

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I never imagined I would have to write something like this, but I am in a critical and time-sensitive crisis and need support to reach safety, stability, and better health.  

 

Why I Need Help 

 Over the past seven years, my health has steadily declined, and my living situation has become increasingly unstable. After fleeing the Los Angeles fires in January I am now facing homelessness in two weeks, with less than $200 to my name and no current steady income. My body and mind can no longer withstand the level of stress and instability I’ve been forced to survive under. I am living with multiple serious, chronic, and disabling conditions, including:

•  Long Covid 

• Heart-related symptoms (recent ER visit) 

• Severe ocular migraine with temporary blindness 

• Tinnitus 

• C-PTSD 

• Severe ADHD 

• Dyslexia

• Dyscalculia
  

• Anosmia/loss of taste and smell

• Anxiety that keeps my body in constant fight–freeze–fawn mode 

These conditions have made it nearly impossible to maintain consistent employment, safely perform basic tasks, or secure stable housing. I am receiving medical care and have officially applied for Social Security Disability, but the process can take six months or more, and I do not have that kind of time.  

What Happens If I Don’t Get Immediate Help?

Without urgent support, I will lose everything — my housing, my belongings, my fragile health progress, and the certified therapy dog who is essential to my safety and mental well-being. 

At 60 years old, after decades of working hard, I am terrified to find myself in this position. 

 This fundraiser is not about long-term dependence. 

This is about survival. It is about staying housed, staying safe, and stabilizing my health long enough to rebuild and eventually return to work at a pace my body can handle.

What Your Support Will Help Cover 

 Your contribution will go directly toward immediate and essential needs, including:

• Moving costs: hiring movers, transportation, and packing materials (I cannot physically lift or carry items safely) 

• Storage: keeping my belongings and personal archives safe while securing long-term housing  

• Temporary housing or a low-cost room 

•  Basic living essentials: food, daily needs, medical-related expenses 

•  Care for my certified therapy dog, who is vital for my mental health and safety

• Stability during the months-long disability waiting period.
