A kind introduction from Heidi
When I first met Debbie, she made a four-hour drive to visit Stet in the hospital. She didn’t know me—just knew I was his girlfriend and that I needed support. She didn’t come empty-handed either: she brought snacks and comfort not just for us, but for the hospital staff as well. That’s just who Debbie is—thoughtful, kind, and fiercely supportive, even to people she barely knows.
Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
In August of 2024, Debbie took a fall in the shower. The pain lingered, and when she finally went to Cedars-Sinai Hospital, doctors found a mass in her neck. Further testing, including a PET scan, revealed more masses throughout her body. After nine months of scans, appointments, and uncertainty, she was diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma with lymph node involvement.
She is currently awaiting brain scans to determine if the cancer has spread. Once completed, her medical team will begin treatment, starting with immunotherapy—Keytruda being the first step in what may be a long road ahead.
Debbie is a fighter. She always has been. But she’s also someone who fights quietly and often alone.
We want to change that.
Medical costs, travel to specialists, medications, and everyday bills are piling up. Debbie deserves the same kindness and support she’s so freely given others. Let’s help ease her burden, show her she’s not alone, and remind her how loved she truly is.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. If you can’t give, please consider sharing this with others who might.
Let’s stand by Debbie—together.
