Aid Deacon Luis' Journey to Healing
Donation protected
Update:
Thank you so much for the amazing support and donations. Our dad is now back at home and adjusting to daily life following his surgeries. He has healed well and is getting stronger. He and my mom recently enjoyed a dinner out for Valentines Day.
Further donations will go towards a wheelchair accessible van for our dad...thanks and God bless.

The family of Luis Hernandez is asking for your help to support the recovery efforts that have impacted his life.
On October 23rd, our dad was life-flighted from UTMB Health Angleton Danbury Hospital to St. Luke's in the Houston Medical Center due to complications from a kidney stone that got lodged between his kidney and bladder and caused him to become septic. He spent 7 days fighting for his life. The life support medication he was placed on for his heart resulted in blood flow to his arms and legs being restricted. We are blessed that he survived, but unfortunately, both hands and feet suffered from the blood loss and could not be saved. He underwent surgery 3 days before Thanksgiving to amputate both hands.
He is currently out of the ICU and recovering in a more comfortable room. Thanksgiving was very special, as his family spent time together with him.
He still has a long journey, including surgery to remove his feet, rehabilitation, and learning a new way of doing things with prosthetics.
Our dad is a man of strong faith and prays for recovery so he can be with his wife to celebrate their 50th anniversary on April 5th, 2025, and to see his granddaughter celebrate her Quinceanera in seven years.
He has always put the needs of others before his own, including serving his community in Angleton, TX, where he has served as a deacon at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church since 2011.
Your donation will help pay for his needs at this difficult time. The funds raised will go directly towards his medical expenses, rehabilitation, home modifications, and any other care he may need. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in his journey towards healing.
Please feel free to share this to help support Deacon Luis.
Thank you for your continued prayers!
