Hi, my name is David, and I never imagined I’d be writing this. Recently, I was rushed to the hospital with a life-threatening pulmonary embolism—a severe blood clot in my lungs that made every breath feel like a struggle. The doctors acted quickly, and I’m incredibly grateful to still be here, according to the Doctors.

This unexpected health crisis has me facing  many medical bills, medications, and follow-up appointments. On top of that, the recovery process requires rest and focus—two things that are hard to come by when you’re worried about keeping up with much more than every day expenses. I am realizing what others have said is a long process of trying to get to see doctors and getting scheduled for required tests that are needed for a diagnosis.
