Dear Friends and Family,
I’m reaching out to share a story about one of the kindest and best people I know, someone very close to me—my brother David Compton. David is facing some incredibly tough times right now, and he needs our help.
David has been battling severe health issues for years, including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), seizures, and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). These conditions have made it impossible for him to work. Recently, David’s workplace denied the accommodations he needs to return and short term disability benefits have run out, leaving him with no income.
David is more than just a fighter; he’s a devoted father to his special needs daughter, Abby, and a loving husband to Billie. Billie works hard supporting people with disabilities and runs Adaptable programs, but her income alone isn’t enough to cover all their expenses, especially with David’s health issues.
The financial strain on their family is immense, and without help, they might struggle to meet their basic needs and cover medical costs. That’s where we come in. We’re asking for your support to ease their burden during this incredibly challenging time.
Things that your donation would aid in supplying:
An on demand power assist system for David's wheelchair for when he injures his arms.
26" wheels for easier propulsion
5" front casters to accommodate for larger rear wheels and to prevent sudden stops.
Medical braces that are not covered by insurance to prevent dislocations
Medical bills
Monthly rent and Costs of living
Any donation, no matter the size, will go directly to helping David with medical expenses, daily living costs, and Abby’s needs. Your generosity will be a lifeline for this wonderful family, providing them with some much-needed relief and hope.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support. Please consider donating and sharing this message with others who might be able to help. Every little bit counts, and we will be eternally grateful for any and all donations.
With sincere gratitude,
Kenneth Compton
