My name is Lea and I'm friends with Dave and his Wife Tracey. These funds will be going to help pay for Dave's medical bill, household bills and to help put food on the table. We will also need to make a few alterations to their home. Like a wheel chair ramp, and downstairs toilet and shower.

Dave has an autoimmune disease called CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy) which has made him completely bedridden and will need extensive therapy both in patient and out patient care to walk again. Dr's are saying 6 month to a year before he will be walking again. Dr's say he has extensive nerve damage throughout his body. Dave wife Tracey took a leave of absence from work to help Dave and eventually had to quit work. Dave will need to travel to Erie for a lot ot his treatments.

David was working up until the end of June 2025 when he suddenly got weak and had a hard time to breath. He was brought to the ER where they ran a few test then sent him home. Dave kept having spells of hard to breath and increased weakness many many trips to ERS near and far some test done and sent back home with little to no answers. Continued weakness, Continued to fall to the point he became completely bedridden. Dave has been in St Vincent hospital for a little over a week now and they are the one who finally gave a diagnosis. Today he got a GI tube put in to help him get enough nutrients. We will be having a benefit dinner on October 4th from 5 to 7pm followed by a Halloween dance until 10pm hope to have lots of people.
