Hello! Many of you may know me but my name is Mallory, niece of Dave and Marie John. Although I am a niece, I consider Dave and Marie my parents as they consider me their daughter. As many people know Dave was diagnosed with Stage 4 bladder cancer in January of 2023. When hearing this news our family was heartbroken. Dave is the most selfless man to walk this earth. He has been fighting for 2 years alongside doctors through Yale-Smillow Center, continuing to work, and attend events for his children. Recently, after many procedures, chemo treatments, and trials it has come to the best interest to put him on hospice at home along side his family. Marie and Joseph (son) have had to put their lives on hold to become the primary caretakers for him. Due to this, Marie has not been able to work, and cannot get any further help from the state since her FMLA has ended. With medical bills rolling in we are looking to all of you for help. Dave is a selfless person with a huge heart. The family needs time to process and get through this difficult time without worrying about bills. We cannot process the amount of outreach and love we have all felt during this time and cannot thank you enough for your prayers, love, time, and donations.
