Blessings for Danny

Your love offering would be a tremendous blessing to Pastor Danny Owsley. As a community member who has given so much to so many, he could use our support in this trying season of life. Many of you know Danny, as he and his wife Brenda have pastored Family Worship Center in Versailles the past 35 years. He is a proud supporter of the Versailles Tigers and has been a dedicated fan in the stands for decades. His dedication to the church and community has been tireless. If you know Danny and Brenda, you know the kind of love they have for each and every person they come across. If you are in a position to help, it would be a blessing to both of them.

In 2023, Pastor Danny was diagnosed with Advanced Prostate Cancer. At the time of diagnosis, the cancer was stage four and deemed inoperable. Danny was determined not to let it get him down, and put his faith in God as he navigated the challenging journey. He said upon learning of his diagnosis he had perfect peace and not an ounce of fear. He knew he was fighting a battle the Lord had already won. What a beautiful testimony to see someone facing their battle with such genuine faith by refusing to live in fear.

On January 29, 2025 Danny woke up with numbness from his waist down. After further testing, it was determined the paralysis was caused by tumors pressing on his spine. Surgery was performed to remove one of the tumors and hopefully restore feeling in his lower extremities. While the surgery did help, regaining mobility is proving to be a slow process. Currently, his house is receiving a small remodel to accommodate a wheelchair when he’s able to return home. Ideally, they would like to be able to purchase a mobility van that would make transportation to and from appointments easier. Danny would also like to be able to attend church and visit his church family and friends. If you’ve heard Danny talk about his morning routine, it consists of a trip to McDonalds for a bacon and cheese biscuit for Brenda; he’s been missing out on that for quite a while now. Let’s help him get back to living his life and love on Danny and Brenda the way they have loved on so many others.
