Aid Dani’s Gender Affirming Care

I never knew how much I took my great health care & insurance for granted until loving someone who didn’t have anywhere close to the health care or insurance quality I had. Admittedly I also never took the time to understand the fight people have seeking gender affirming care. Justifying every doctor visit and every prescription and needing a psych to back the care I knew I needed —never have I ever needed to go to such lengths to get healthcare.

My partner Dani has been on a long journey finding the words, seeking the care, to feel safe and comfortable in their body. The best way I found to describe how they feel every day is to imagine having to wear an outfit you hate and are so uncomfortable in: every. single. day.

After jumping through all the hoops, Dani was approved to receive top surgery. This is a huge step for them feeling comfortable and affirmed in their own body.

We’re reaching out graciously asking for any help our friends and family may be willing to contribute financially to help cover Dani’s portion of this necessary procedure that has been long awaited.
