On Sunday August 24th, Daniel Pollard was in a devastating motorcycle accident on his way home from work that left him with multiple injuries, including a severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). The swelling in his brain was so critical that doctors had to remove part of his skull to save his life. He is currently in the ICU at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.
His wife, Vanessa, has been by his side day and night while trying to hold their family together. Their three young children are staying back in Jamestown to keep some sense of normalcy during this unimaginable time.
The road ahead will be long and uncertain. Rehab will be significant, with discussions already taking place about the possibility of transferring to a specialized brain injury rehabilitation center in Denver when he is stable enough to travel.
We are asking for help to support this family through the enormous challenges ahead. Donations will go directly toward:
• Ongoing medical expenses and rehabilitation costs
• Travel and lodging
• Household bills and childcare needs as she nor Dan cannot work during this crisis
• Long-term recovery support for Dan
Dan is a loving husband, devoted dad, and a friend who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Now it’s our turn to rally around him and his family.
Any amount, big or small, will make a difference in easing the heavy financial and emotional burden they’re facing. Just as important, your prayers, love, and shares of this fundraiser mean the world to them.
Thank you for lifting up this family in their darkest time and helping them find hope as Dan continues to fight his way back to them.
