Aid Cole's Recovery After Terrible Accident
Donation protected
On April 29th @ 6:12 pm, I received the most horrifying phone call a parent could ever receive. My son Cole was in a serious accident on Rt.17 in Stafford VA. As many of you are aware we have been dealing with serious eye issue since February 13th. His eye was doing well for about 1 week, after the Dr had scraped it so he released him and didn't have to return only if it became an issue. Last week he started having several symptoms which include redness means very inflamed, tearing, hurting and the eye automatically began to close. So he made an appointment to go back to the eye dr on the same day he had the accident. Unfortunately the Dr had no openings until Saturday so he took an appointment for 11:30. This possibly could be one of the determining factors of the accident. When he follows up on May 12th if it's the same, on May 16th he will be put to sleep at the hospital to have additional scraping. Cole was ejected out the windshield landed on the 3rd or 4th flip, he was told by the deputy that if he ejected on the 1st or 2nd he most likely have died because of the momentum. He was taken right away via ambulance to MW Fredericksburg ER. Once he was accessed he several injuries:
Hematoma in his stomach which is very dangerous he could bleed out
Broken collar bone
Closed fracture of his 4th toe on right foot
Concussion due to a brief LOC, small break to his patella
Severe road rash
He is a lucky guy that he's alive, whoever is up above saved his life! With that being said he has a long road ahead, all we can do is take one step at time. I'm applying for short term disability but that could take a bit to be reviewed and hopefully approved. At this point his recovery time is 6-8 weeks. He & i will have loss of wages, Dr appointments, and medical bills for s that are not covered by his insurance.
If anyone has the means to donate please do, or if you can't I understand due to the economy in the US. Most of all, please keep praying for him.
Thank you and God bless to all
