Aid CL Handy Jr's Rehabilitation Journey

Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Strangers,

We come to you with heavy hearts but hopeful spirits, asking for your support as we rally around our dear father, brother, and friend, CL Handy Jr., in his fight to reclaim his life after suffering a devastating stroke. On July 6, 2024, CL was hospitalized at Atrium Pineville Hospital in Charlotte, NC, while visiting family. Now, as he approaches his 60th birthday on December 25, we are facing one of the toughest battles of his life.

CL has been referred to Brooks Rehabilitation in Jacksonville, FL, a world-class facility where we hope he can regain vital functions over the next 90 days. We’re aiming to raise $100,000 by January 1, 2025, to cover the extensive medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and the immense expenses his family is enduring during this critical time.

A Father, A Caregiver, a Hero: CL isn’t just fighting for himself—he’s fighting for his family. As a loving guardian, CL has selflessly become father to his two young nephews, Eric (11) and Kyreon (9), after the tragic passing of his brother and sister-in-law. His adult daughters, have relocated to Charlotte from the San Francisco Bay Area to be by his side, providing care and support as he faces this life-altering challenge. The Handy family are doing everything they can, but they need help to make sure CL receives the care he deserves.
