Hi everyone,
We never imagined I’d be writing something like this, but sweet baby girl, Cynthia (“Cindi”), has been through so much since birth.
During labor, Caitlin experienced a 75% placental abruption, and doctors had to perform an emergency C-section to save mom and baby both. The surgery was difficult, and recovery has been challenging. While being delivered, Cindi swallowed blood and amniotic fluid, and doctors say it got into her lungs. Because of this, she’s been struggling to breathe on her own and is on a breathing tub, antibiotics and IV fluids.
Unfortunately, the NICU at the hospital they were at wasn’t able to continue the care that Cindi needed. She was care-flighted to Medical City in Dallas on the 6th, where she can receive more advanced care.
As Tyler and Caitlin stay by her side through this scary and emotional time, they are facing unexpected costs for lodging, food, and gas while she’s in the hospital. We know Tyler and Caitlin just recently moved and Tyler got a new job. Tyler doesn’t have much time to miss work to be with both Cindi and Caitlin as they recover and navigate everything that’s happening so he will have to eventually go back home. Their other children have been with grandparents since and really miss their mom and daddy too.
Any help—big or small— this will mean the world to them to focus on their baby girl’s healing and their recovery and really just a difficult time.
If you’d like to help, you can donate through this GoFundMe or directly through Venmo (@caitlinhutsell) if that’s easier.
Even if you can’t give, your prayers, kind words, and shares mean more than you’ll ever know. ❤️
The Hutsell family will thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
