Hello, my name is Melissa. I’m trying to raise money for my son Christopher Leverett. He was recently diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma. He is scheduled this Thursday July 24th for surgery to remove almost 50 percent of his tongue and lymph nodes in his neck. He will also be having reconstructive surgery the same day where part of his thigh muscle will be used to repair his tongue. He will be kept in icu for ten days and will have to learn to eat and talk again. Everything happened so fast, it’s been about 60 days from the diagnosis to surgery. Insurance isn’t covering much so it’s been tough trying to pay for all the medical bills and upcoming surgery. He will more than likely have to have chemotherapy as well. Christopher is 26, has a beautiful fiancé and 2 little boys. I know times are very hard right now but whatever you can give will be greatly appreciated. I ask that you all please pray for my son and our family.
