Meet my two courageous dogs, Chippy and Louis. Chippy was recently diagnosed with IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease), a painful condition that affects the spine, causing difficulty walking, pain, and in some cases, even paralysis. Louis, who underwent spinal surgery for IVDD six years ago, is now experiencing a painful flare-up—reminding us that this condition can be lifelong and unpredictable.
IVDD is similar to a herniated disc in humans. The discs between a dog’s vertebrae can degenerate or rupture, pressing on the spinal cord and causing pain, nerve damage, or loss of movement. It’s a heartbreaking and expensive condition that many pet owners aren’t even aware of until it strikes.
I'm raising funds to help cover Chippy's treatment and Louis' ongoing care, and just as importantly, to spread the word about IVDD. With better awareness, early detection, and support, we can give dogs with IVDD a fighting chance to live happy, pain-free lives. IVDD is not a death sentence!
Every donation helps—whether it’s toward veterinary bills, mobility support, or spreading educational resources. Please consider giving and sharing their story to help make a difference!
10% of proceeds will be donated to Dollar for Doxies, a non profit charity that financially assists owners of dogs diagnosed with IVDD.
