Aid Chewbacca's Journey to Recovery

Hi, my name is Jessica Sommers and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart for help with my dog, Chewbacca. Chewbacca is 4 years old and truly the most amazing dog. He’s my best friend, my constant companion, and the sweetest soul you could ever meet.

On April 21st, without any warning, his back legs suddenly gave out. One minute he was playing like usual, and the next he couldn’t stand. The vets have told me that he’s at serious risk of permanent paralysis, and we need advanced imaging to understand what’s going on. The cost for that alone is $5,000, and if he needs surgery, that’s another $6,000—something I just can’t afford on my own.

Chewbacca has always been a happy, playful boy. His favorite thing in the world is playing with his stuffed fox. Now, he just lies beside it, unable to move like he used to. It’s heartbreaking to see him like this, and I’m doing everything I can to get him the help he needs.
