Aid Cash's Healing After Tragic Accident

Cash was rescued from a troubling situation about two years ago, into a very loving home. Just yesterday, he was unfortunately struck by a vehicle and is currently admitted at Blue Pearl Pet Hospital in the ICU. Following extensive scans and tests, it was unfortunately decided that amputation surgery of his right front leg is the best solution to give him the best quality of life. This will require ongoing medication and therapy once he comes home. This is all taking a huge financial toll on the family, not to mention emotionally as well. This is my daughter’s best friend's family who are like family to us, and it breaks my heart that they have to go through this, and the financial burden is just another layer that adds additional stress and anxiety.

Specifically, the family was told that the break is at a very difficult spot to repair, which is why additional extensive testing, X-rays, CTs, etc. were needed for the doctors to ultimately come to this decision to amputate. They had to take out the whole shoulder blade; they said it was very crunchy and badly damaged. There was no way it could be repaired.

The funds raised will help the family recover the debt they have already accrued as well as the future expenses during recovery and beyond for medication, physical therapy, and medical devices.

Cash is such a precious pup and is so fortunate this family rescued him. It is devastating they have to go through this. We want to make sure he can continue to live his best life.
