Aid Carol in Her Cancer and Financial Crisis

My name is Carol Sue Kuchta, and my life has changed dramatically in the past year. I lost my husband to cancer in October, and just a few months later, I was diagnosed with stage four bone cancer. My journey with cancer began much earlier—back in 2007, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and went through all my treatments and radiation while continuing to work. Several years later, I faced cervical cancer and spent three and a half years at MD Anderson for care. Through faith and perseverance, I overcame those battles, even sharing my story in a YouTube video, 'Carol Kuchta Cancer Free,' about how God touched my spine in ways doctors never expected. Now, I am facing cancer for the third time, and this time it is in my bones.

Before all of this, I was deeply involved in my church and women’s groups, and I loved spending time with my family, especially my grandchildren. I also worked in sales and facilitated support groups, always striving to help others and make a positive impact in my community. My faith has always been my foundation, and I continue to lean on it every day.

Now, I am facing the hardest season of my life. I am receiving treatment at UT Southwestern, but the costs of medical care, medications, and daily living have become overwhelming. For the first time since buying my home in 2006, I am unable to make my mortgage payment. My income is very limited, and I am struggling to cover basic needs like utilities and groceries. The thought of losing my home is heartbreaking, and as I’m transitioning and trying to sell my home—which has also been hard for me—I am doing everything I can to keep going. I am praying that the right buyer will come and purchase my home, and I am seeking support to help me until the transition of selling my home is complete. Nights are sleepless and days are filled with worry, but I am holding on to hope and faith.

I am reaching out for help because I truly need support to get through this transition. Any assistance will go directly toward my living expenses, medical bills, and keeping my home as long as possible. I am grateful for any compassion and kindness you can offer, whether through a donation or by sharing my story. Thank you for taking the time to read about my journey and for being a source of hope during this difficult time.
