Aid Carmen's Recovery After Trauma

Hello everyone, my name is Carmen and I am blessed to see another day. Not many of you may know, but at the end of June of this year, my partner of six years shot me multiple times. I spent two months in the hospital, numerous surgeries, and I never thought that I would make it past the first night. I was in surgery for about eight hours from what I was told. I was intubated for about a week. I required numerous blood transfusions as I lost a lot of blood that night. I am slowly still recovering from wounds that need to be taken care of due to not fully being healed.

After the hospital, I was transitioned over to the rehab hospital where I spent two weeks and then finally discharged. To finally see the light of day, feel the sunlight on my face, what a blessing. I spent 30 days in trauma before transferring out to a different floor. Not many are that blessed.

I did not create this GoFundMe page to get rich. The reason I created it was for the sole purpose that my nursing that was provided will no longer be provided as of tomorrow. I have applied for in-home care which is still under review, and so far my application has not been approved. I am asking if you’re able to help with anything that is possible for me to be able to pay for nursing until a decision has been made regarding my application. I physically cannot return to work full-time, so anything would be appreciated.
