Hello! This is a very weird thing to be typing out. I feel much more comfortable being out there helping others, and being on the receiving end is a new challenge. For those that know us- hi~ and those that don't, my name is Calliope. My partner, Kaine, our cat Fable, and I have recently lost our home to hurricane Helene- like many others out there. We live in Asheville Nc, in a second story appartment and honesty did not think the waters would reach us... and we were horribly wrong. I've never experienced a hurricane before- I'm Midwestern and prefer my natural disasters in the form of tornados that you very much. Helene destroyed our home, ruined 90% of our belongings, totalled my car, shut down both of our places of business, and generally shook our community.

We have to start over, and to do that we need some help. We are using our time out of work to volunteer in our community, but until we have funds to move into a new appartment we are kinda stuck in limbo for ourselves.

This go fund me is for start up funds on a new appartment- the whole security deposite/first and last months rent/ etc... move in fees. As well as some basic furniture and groceries to get us settled.

As it stands we are staying with a number of our wonderful friends, and are so thankful for their love and support ❤️. If you have the ability to help us restart our lives, we would be very thankful. But please don't donate if it would put you in a rough position, we want to make sure everyone is taken care of.
