In the beginning of August, Brooke decided she would make the journey over to New Zealand to attend the Mt. Zion Youth Conference. While there, along with many others, she started to feel very sick. During the last week of her stay, she didn’t know if she would be healthy enough to make the journey home, but knew she needed to get back to the States to be in her health system.

The day she arrived back, she started feeling worse and went to the doctor to find she was positive for flu and COVID. A few days later, her face and tongue started swelling up. Brooke knew she needed to go to the ER right away. She was admitted on August 26th, and the doctor found she had sepsis from strep and bacterial pneumonia. She was in the hospital for a week and then discharged. Two days later, her face and tongue started swelling again and she was re-admitted. She currently is still in the hospital waiting for the doctors to see improvement to be released.

Unfortunately, there will be a very long recovery time for Brooke and she is out of work for the foreseeable future. She also dropped out of paralegal school for the remainder of the semester to recover. Medical bills are starting to pile up and the Styles family would appreciate any help at this time due to Brooke being out of work.

Brooke is an extremely loyal and giving person to whoever she meets and we want to be able to support her during this incredibly hard trial she is dealing with.
