Aid Brooke After Her Medical Emergency

Hello. My name is Susan... I am here to help out my best friend of 33 years, Brooke (Harbin) Jeffers.

Everyone that knows Brooke and her family knows what caring, loving, and giving people they are. I am praying and trusting that their needs will be met.

On Mother's Day (May 11th, 2025), we almost lost Brooke. She was taken to the hospital... her sugar was so low they couldn't even get a reading when she got there. She lost her vision (temporarily because of the extremely low sugar), stopped breathing on her own and had to be put on a ventilator, her kidneys were not functioning, she had to be put on emergency continuous dialysis, her body temperature had dropped to 87, and she was unresponsive. On Tuesday (May 13th), they told us that if anyone wanted to see her and say something to her, then was the time. They really didn't see her making it.

But... Our God literally took her by the hand and led her away from death's door! She started making improvements and by Friday (May 16th), she was off of emergency dialysis, breathing on her own, and was responsive! PRAISE GOD!

She is still in the hospital, and upon being discharged, she will have to go to a rehabilitation center for a while.

Brooke, of course, is missing work and it is unpaid leave. And, of course, her husband David has not been able to work either. His is unpaid leave also (he has stayed by Brooke's side ❤️).

I know they could use all the help they can get! For a week and a half now, they have not had an income to pay their basic bills. The period of time with no income coming in is only going to get longer! And even when David is able to return to work, I don't know how long Brooke will be out.

They are also going to have a pretty substantial amount of medical bills.

Any amount of help would be greatly, greatly appreciated! No amount is too small.

All funds raised will go towards helping this sweet family with all their mounting bills.
