Aid Brian Price's Healing Journey

Donation protected
On the morning of October 28, 2025, around 10:30 a.m., our father and loved one Brian Price was involved in a devastating multi-vehicle accident in Summit, New Jersey.
The crash left him paralyzed from the neck down, with only limited movement in his arms and legs.

Brian has spent his entire life using his camera to tell other people’s stories — now, it’s time for us to tell his.

About Brian

A Plainfield, New Jersey native and proud Howard University graduate with degrees in Geology and Fine Arts Photography, Brian Price is an American reportage and portrait photographer, director, and author whose work spans from photojournalism to fine-art storytelling.

Over his decades-long career, Brian’s lens has captured everything from the Black diaspora to presidential campaigns, the Iraq War, the Super Bowl, and countless moments of culture, community, and courage. His photography has been published in The Washington Post, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Detroit Free Press, The Baltimore Sun, The Hartford Courant, The St. Pete Times, The Trenton Times, and the Associated Press.

In recent years, Brian has focused his energy on a deeply personal and historical project: the history of Black Cowboys in America. Through his ongoing photo book and documentary work, he’s been chronicling the untold stories of Black cowboys, cowgirls, and rodeo communities across the country — preserving a legacy too often erased from mainstream narratives.

Why We’re Asking for Help

As a freelance photojournalist, Brian’s ability to work and earn income depends entirely on his mobility and independence. This accident has left him unable to work, and the financial burden of medical expenses, rehabilitation, and daily living costs is overwhelming.

Your donations will go directly toward:

Medical bills and rehabilitation costs
Physical and occupational therapy
Adaptive equipment and accessibility modifications
Ongoing living expenses during his recovery

Every contribution, big or small, helps give Brian the care and stability he needs as he begins this long road ahead.

A Legacy Worth Supporting

Brian’s life’s work has been about truth, dignity, and documenting the humanity of others — from Black heritage to the American spirit. Now, he needs the same compassion he’s always shown through his art.

If you can’t donate, please help by sharing this GoFundMe, sending prayers, and spreading his story.

From His Family

If you know my father, you know he knows no stranger. He’ll make you feel like family from the moment he says hello. I want him to know that we’re all on his side — and that he’s not facing this recovery alone. Every show of support, prayer, and donation is a reminder of the community that loves him and believes in his strength.

Thank you for helping us stand with my dad as he begins this next chapter of courage and healing.
