Aid Brian Englund's Path to Recovery

Donation protected
Hi. My name is Diane Gray. I am Brian Englund's mom. On Sunday, July 21st, I received a call from a stranger using Brian's phone, telling me my son was in a vehicular accident. When I arrived on the scene, Brian was in the ambulance and could not speak and didn't know who anyone was. This is a mother's worst nightmare. Brian was taken to the Emergency Department at our local hospital. This was just the beginning of tests, more tests, and even more tests performed to understand just what happened. In the midst of receiving care, Brian had a seizure, coded, and had to be resuscitated.

After 9 days in Neurological Intensive Care, multiple CT's, MRI's, and chest X-Rays, it was determined he had a stroke. Brian is now home and recovering but he still has a long way to go to fully recover. He is also not able to work during this time.

As you can imagine, that much time in the Emergency Department and ICU, paired with the inability to work, can be very costly. So many have offered up help in any way that can and we are incredibly thankful.

Thank you for considering how you can help.
