My name is Tara, my mom’s name is Brenda, and our whole world was flipped upside down with her recent diagnosis. About 6 weeks ago, she was diagnosed with a rare condition called Guillian Barre Syndrome, in which her body is attacking itself. She is unable to move or breathe on her own and is receiving the only treatments they offer for this debilitating condition, but her fight is far from over. Her road to recovery is long and will require intensive therapy. It could take anywhere from 6 months to a year for her to fully recover. I am asking for help in order to relieve some of the burden that comes with medical bills, treatments, and equipment. She is a strong willed, hardworking, loving, caring daughter, mother and grandmother who was dealt a terrible hand when diagnosed.
