Aid Brandon's Journey to Overcome Cancer

Donation protected
In May of this year, Brandon Bentch (my brother-in-law) had surgery to remove his appendix. While in surgery, a tumor was discovered. After months of testing, it was determined that Brandon has an extremely rare sarcoma cancer called EWSR1-PATZ1. From what we understand, there are only fourteen known cases of this type of sarcoma cancer in the United States. Because of the rarity of this cancer, Brandon will require highly specialized treatments at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

The first step is a specific type of radiation treatment called proton beam therapy. This treatment will be five days a week for about six weeks. During this phase of treatment, Brandon will stay in St. Louis during the week and commute home on the weekends.

After the proton beam therapy, Brandon will then begin four to five months of chemotherapy. The exact plan will be developed by the oncology team as they observe Brandon's response to phase one.

This fund will help cover the cost of medical expenses, travel, lodging, and other expenses incurred on this journey. Thank you in advance for your generosity, your support, and your prayers.

Yours in Christ,
Tony
