Hello! My name is Beatrice and this is my best friend, Boo (better known as Booby, Boob, Mr. Booby, and Booberton).

On the morning of Friday, July 11th, Boo was attacked by a family member's dog. This caused a severe fracture in the femur of his right back leg and two minor fractures on both his back left paw and front left paw. Due to the injury to his femur, I had to make the decision to get Boo's leg amputated. Two of his three other legs are in splints, which will be healing over the next 6 to 8 weeks.

Boob has been with me for about 6 or 7 years now. I rescued him and his sister (also pictured), Birdy, as kittens. These two have been with me through some of the most turbulent times of my life so far. There was no second-guessing my decision to go through with the surgery that was needed. Boob has always been there for me, and I could not bear the thought of putting him down over something that would be able to heal in a few weeks. I couldn't stomach choosing money over the life of one of my best friends.

With that being said, Boob has gone through a lot these last few days and that has resulted in a substantial amount of vet bills. Unfortunately, in order for him to heal properly, we have many more vet visits over the next few weeks. With the surgery and initial splints totaling over $8000, and the next few weeks of splint changes, X-rays, checkups, and stitches removal, costing over another $2000, I'm up to my ears in bills. I'm here asking for help in order for me to provide Mr. Booby with the care he requires and focus on his recovery.
