Aid Bogdan's Stage 4 Cancer Fight
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Claudia, and I’m writing this on behalf of my amazing dad, Bogdan. In October of 2022, our family received heartbreaking news: my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer. This diagnosis has shaken all of us, but if there’s one thing I know about my dad, and that he's proven over the time of his diagnosis, it’s that he is a fighter.
My dad has always been the backbone of our family—a man of unshakable kindness, selflessness, and faith. He’s facing this battle with incredible strength and positivity, and I’m reaching out for your help to make sure he has the resources he needs to focus on healing and holding on to hope.
Bogdan's Story
My dad is the kind of person who leaves an impact on everyone he meets. Whether it’s offering a helping hand to a neighbor, going above and beyond for his clients, or simply being a listening ear, my dad has always put others first.
His kindness knows no bounds. I’ve seen him give his time, energy, and even the shirt off his back for someone in need. He’s taught me the importance of compassion, generosity, and standing by your faith in the hardest of times.
He’s also a man of incredible strength—both physical and emotional. I’ve seen him work tirelessly to provide for our family, never once complaining, even when things were hard. Through his example, he’s shown me what it means to persevere and keep hope alive, no matter the circumstances.
The Diagnosis
In 2022, after months of unexplained symptoms, my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer. Learning this news was devastating, but true to his nature, my dad has remained hopeful and determined to fight.
His journey so far has included multiple nonstop rounds of chemotherapy, targeted radiation, a colostomy, numerous trips to the ER that resulted in procedures to treat infections caused by the main tumor, and ongoing procedures aimed at reducing his pain levels. These treatments are grueling, and while they offer hope, they also come with significant physical and emotional challenges. Despite everything, my dad continues to face each day with unwavering faith and positivity, inspiring everyone around him.
The Road Ahead
We don't know what the journey ahead entails. The plan is to continue chemotherapy, continue body scans to check if the cancer is receding or spreading, and apply for clinical trials if this round of chemotherapy doesn't yield results.
At this point, my dad has been in constant pain for over a year. He cannot take the opiates prescribed for his pain, as the side effects of the prescriptions outweigh the pain relief benefits. And yet, he still doesn't complain. He has remained our rock, even as we have tried to build ourselves up around him in support.
The Financial Strain
The financial burden of cancer is overwhelming. Between the cost of treatments, hospital stays, medications, and travel to specialists, it’s far more than our family can manage on our own. Additionally, my dad has had to step away from work, so he has no income to support our family. Our savings are no more there and we still were planning to check alternate ways of treatment and medications.
Your generous support will go toward:
Medical bills
Insurance
Alternate ways of treatment
Day-to-day living expenses, like housing, groceries, and utilities
How You Can Help
Help us reach our financial goal, which will help ease the financial burden on our family and allow my dad to focus entirely on his recovery. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a huge difference.
If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this campaign or keeping my dad in your prayers would mean the world to us.
A Legacy of Hope and Faith
Even as he battles this disease, my dad continues to remind us what it means to live with faith and hope. His positivity is contagious, and his belief in God’s plan gives all of us strength.
He’s always said that challenges are opportunities to grow closer as a family, to lean on each other, and to trust in God’s love. That’s exactly what we’re doing now, and with your help, I know my dad can overcome this.
Thank You
Thank you for taking the time to read my dad’s story. Your kindness and generosity give us hope in one of the most difficult times of our lives. Whether you’re able to contribute financially, share this campaign, or simply keep him in your prayers, we are so grateful.
Together, we can give my dad the best chance at recovery and show him that he’s surrounded by love and support.
With love and gratitude,
Bogdan’s Family
