Aid Bianca & Broc: Fire Recovery Fund

My name is Jessica and I am a realtor working in the OC/LA area. A year ago, my clients Bianca and Broc achieved something so many dream of — buying their first home. It was the result of years of hard work, side hustles, and saving every extra dollar. We celebrated the keys in hand, the remodel finally complete, and the feeling of finally being settled.

A few weeks ago, that dream was taken from them in a matter of hours.

While their neighbor was making repairs to their unit, sparks from welding hit insulation — and a fire broke out. The flames quickly spread, devastating Bianca and Broc’s home. In the chaos, they managed to save their beloved pet bunny, Mochi , but everything else is gone. Furniture, clothes, keepsakes, the space they had poured their hearts into… all destroyed.

Now, they are in a temporary rental, trying to navigate the complicated and slow process of insurance claims in California. Even with coverage, they face mounting costs that insurance may not fully cover — essentials like clothing, temporary housing, HOA fees (with no leniency from the community), and the enormous expense of rebuilding.

Bianca and Broc are the kind of people who work tirelessly — full-time jobs plus side hustles to make ends meet. Bianca even runs a wedding videography business on weekends, capturing beautiful moments for others. They have poured that same dedication into creating a home for themselves, and to see it gone so suddenly is heartbreaking.

Seeing their ceiling caved in, knowing the long journey it took to purchase and remodel, is heartbreaking and something I’ll never forget. As their friend and realtor, I can’t just stand by — I’m leaning on our community to rally around them in this time of need.
