Aid Betty's Family After Devastating Fire

Hello everyone my name is Betty and I am currently raising funds to help my family in Santa Maria, CA who lost pretty much everything due to an unknown fire that started in their apartment on Sunday March 30, 2025 around noon.

My hard working dad was in the shower when he began to smell smoke and quickly realized his entire room was up in flames. With a towel covered around his body he ran out to alert my mom, little brother, aunt and little cousins who were all at home at the moment in the living room to evacuate the unit as it was burning down.

Devastatingly, he burned the bottom of his feet with 2nd degree burns while attempting to get himself and everyone out of the fire. He will be off of work for the next 2 weeks or more as he recovers.

Thankfully everyone else made it out safe but as a result of the fire most of their personal belongings were burned including cash and a place that was once called home for a total of 13 years.

The apartment complex will not give them another unit until they “receive the fire departments report” and renters insurance was able to help with little to nothing.

They are currently staying in a room at my middle brother’s house but will need to prepare if the apartment complex does not give them another unit.

While most of the stuff that got burned is replaceable, they will need extra support financially.

Your donation will help immensely towards their basic necessities like clothing, household items, security deposit for new housing if needed, food, and anything else they may need at this very tragic time in their lives.

Hola a todos, me nombre es Betty y estoy recaudando fondos para ayudar a mi familia en Santa María, California, que lo perdió prácticamente todo debido a un incendio desconocido que comenzó en su apartamento el domingo 30 de marzo de 2025 alrededor del medio día.

Mi padre, que trabaja duro, estaba en el baño vañandose cuando empezó a oler humo y enseguida se dio cuenta de que toda su habitación estaba en llamas. Con una toalla alrededor del cuerpo, salió corriendo a avisar a mi madre, mi hermano menor, mi tía y mis primos, que estaban en la sala en ese momento, para que evacuaran el apartamento, ya que se estaba incendiando.

Devastadora mente, sufrió quemaduras de segundo grado en las plantas de los pies al intentar salir del fuego. Estará sin trabajar durante las próximas dos semanas o más mientras se recupera.

Afortunadamente, todos los demás salieron a salvo, pero como resultado del incendio, la mayoría de sus pertenencias se quemaron, incluyendo dinero en efectivo y un lugar que alguna vez fue su hogar durante 13 años.

El complejo de apartamentos no les dará otra unidad hasta que reciban el informe de los bomberos, y el la aseguransa de rentero apenas pudo ayudar con poco a nada.

Actualmente se alojan en una habitación en casa de mi hermano, pero deberán prepararse si el complejo de apartamentos no les da otra unidad.

Gracias a Dios la mayoría de las cosas que se quemaron se pueden reemplazar pero necesitarán apoyo financiero adicional.

Su donación será de gran ayuda para cubrir sus necesidades básicas, como ropa, artículos para el hogar, el depósito de seguridad para una nueva vivienda si es necesario, comida y cualquier otra cosa que puedan necesitar en este momento tan trágico de sus vidas.
