Help My Son Benjamin Recover After a Traumatic Accident
Hi, my name is Tammy, and I’m asking for your help—for my son, Benjamin.
Recently, Benjamin was hit by a car while riding his bike. He’s in the ICU with a traumatic brain injury. He’s having seizures, is heavily sedated, and has to be restrained to keep him safe. He’s still unable to stand, feed himself, or communicate clearly—but recently, he was able to say “Mom,” and I’m holding onto that like a lifeline.
The doctors are still unsure of the full extent of the damage. It’s going to be a long road—possibly months in the hospital, followed by physical therapy and neurological care.
Just four months ago, Benjamin finally got his own apartment after being displaced by the hurricane in September. He was so proud—working full-time, building stability, playing music (he loves his guitar and piano), and standing on his own two feet again. He’s a proud soul and never one to ask for help—so I’m doing it for him.
The money raised will help cover:
• Rent and utilities (so he doesn’t lose everything he worked so hard to rebuild)
• Medical expenses not covered by insurance
• Physical therapy and recovery needs
• Transportation and basic needs during his healing journey
If you can help in any way—through donations, shares, or simply keeping Benjamin in your prayers—it would mean the world to us. I believe in miracles, and I believe in my son.
Thank you for standing with us.
With love,
Tammy
Update July 16, 2025. Ben is out of ICU, and in a new room. Ben is receiving physical therapy and speech therapy. He still does not remember the accident. He still has some fluid on the brain and a small brain bleeds, I was told it takes time for the brain to heal. He is still confused and the right words do not come out, but he is trying. Thank you all for continued support and prayers!
