We are reaching out to you as we appeal for your generous help in our need for the life of our baby Giovanni.

Giovanni was born 1 lb., premature at 25 weeks on November 2024, by Cesarean section due to severe preeclampsia. Since his birth in Valley Hospital, Paramus, NJ, he has been confined in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). After birth, he was intubated.

When he was 4 months old, he underwent a G-tube surgery and fundoplication. This procedure helped him for a while, but toward his 6th month, he started to struggle with his breathing and required more oxygen support. After a few days of observation, the doctors decided to transfer him to Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York, NY, for a more aggressive approach to care for his condition known as Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia.

The duration of Giovanni’s stay in NICU is continuing with no estimated timetable for his discharge.

Giovanni’s parents commute daily from New Jersey to New York to be with him.

The proceeds of your generous donations will help pay for the mounting expenses related to Giovanni’s medical bills and for out-of-state travel expenses.
