The Loyd Family❤️

Baby Cannon made his appearance on April 1, 2025, at 10:03 am, weighing 6 lbs 7 oz and measuring 20 1/2 in long. Within 12 hours, his and his family’s life changed. We all were not prepared for what has transpired.

When it started 4/1

His temperature kept going low, and he didn’t really want to stay awake or eat. His breathing was off to me, so I asked about it, and the nurse said it wasn’t normal; he was retracting. She took him to the NICU, and they did tests. He has a hole in his diaphragm causing his organs to push against his lungs and heart (his heart is on the right side of him right now). They transported him to Atlanta around 2 am, 14 hours after birth.

CDH - Congenital diaphragmatic hernia

• He is on a breathing tube

• Cannot eat (he is on fluids only)

• He will be having surgery tomorrow, 4/4. It’s high risk.

• Minimum stay in the NICU in Atlanta is a month if things go well

• Going to be traveling back and forth due to Cooper being in school, animals, and Ashton possibly going to work

We are currently staying at The Ronald McDonald House, which we are so grateful for.

Whatever money is raised that is not used will go to The Ronald McDonald House and/or The Children’s Hospital. Thank you for the prayers.
